Mission

At Leeward Community College, we m¨¡lama all Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ and affirm our special commitment to Native Hawaiians. We transform the lives of our Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ through high-quality, accessible, and affordable education.

Academics

Leeward Community College offers 79 associate degrees and certificates and is classified as an Associate’s/Public 2-year college. Leeward CC ensures student success with an average class size of 21 Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ and an instructor to student ratio of 20:1. Leeward CC also offers multiple professional development courses and licensing programs from Motorcycle Safety to Computer Courses.

The University of Hawai¡®i has allocated a record $5.5 million to the Hawai¡®i Promise Scholarship, supporting community college Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ by covering unmet education costs. This initiative aims to make higher education more accessible for Hawai¡®i residents.

About Student Life

The Student Life Office was inaugurated in 2009 and facilitates co-curricular learning experiences. Campus involvement enables Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ to gain life skills, increase their civic responsibility, and enrich their personal and professional development.

Student Life¡¯s mission is to create pathways for the next generation of leaders through a co-creative learning environment that inspires Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ to reach their goals, deepen their passions, and cultivate their leadership skills.

The Student Life staff also manages the Campus Center Student Lounge, approves bulletin board postings, and provides discounted movie tickets.

Budget & Finance Committee

This committee manages funds that go toward student organizations and campus departments involved in extracurricular activities.

Our food pantry is stocked to help Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ meet their basic nutritional needs, enabling them to focus on their academic success.
